The Alvita Hinged Knee Support is used for slight to moderate sprains of the lateral ligaments, benign chronic instability and to reinforce the anteroposterior stability of the knee. It is also suitable for use in convalescence and ...rehabilitation from injury. The hinged design enables improved articular mobility, and the support avoids contact with the popliteal tissue of the rear knee- both enabling enhanced user comfort. The fabric is also breathable to prevent overheating and discomfort. Additionally, the support has an opening in the patellar area for added stabilization of this area. Two reinforcement straps support the knee's crossed ligaments, while two polycentric, removable lateral straps facilitate maintenance of the knee joint. This product complies with the French LPP specifications, and is reimbursable at the LPP rate.
